network – Cannot connect to devices over VPN/Hamachi LAN

I’m trying to connect to a friend’s Windows computer to play over LAN.
However, it seems that I cannot find his computer on the network, despite him being able to find mine.

When I ping his IP address in the VPN, it times out whereas when he pings mine, he does get a reply. Similarly, he has successfully connected to me but I have not been able to connect to him.

Does anyone have any clue how to solve this?
