Apple’s online store is expanding to Vietnam. The store will go live on May 18 at 9 am local time, giving customers access to Apple’s entire product lineup.
This will mark the company’s first direct official expansion in the Asian country.
Vietnam will soon gain access to Apple’s online store
Apple sells its products through authorized resellers and carriers in Vietnam. It does not have official Apple Stores in the country. Once the online store opens, the Cupertino giant will have an official direct presence in Vietnam.
Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail said, “We are honored to have the opportunity to expand in Vietnam, and extremely excited to be able to provide Apple’s superior care and support to customers with the launch of the online Apple Store. With our online store, customers in Vietnam can now explore our wide range of amazing products and services, connect with experienced professionals, and experience the best of Apple like never before.”
Besides Apple’s entire product lineup, the online store will provide customers access to Apple Experts and Trade-In program. The company has already started teasing the online store’s opening on its Vietnamese site.
You can access Apple’s online store in Vietnam starting May 18.
Apple is expanding its presence in developing Asian countries
Apart from India, Apple has been moving its product manufacturing from China to Vietnam to diversify its supply chain. Apple suppliers in the country are already making AirPods, chargers, iPads, iPhones, and other products. The company is also looking to make Apple Watch in the Asian country.
Like India, Apple sees a lot of growth potential for its products in Vietnam. The opening of Apple’s online store in the country could further help boost consumer demand, which is what happened in India.
